Acting Career
His fame and reputation grew considerably after his starring role in the film The Crying Game, a film that drew considerable attention due to the surprise identity of Jaye Davidson's character, and due to the overall critical praise for the film, its direction by Neil Jordan, and its performances; Rea received an Oscar nomination for this film for "Best Actor." Rea also starred in several later Neil Jordan films, including The End of the Affair, which also starred Julianne Moore and Ralph Fiennes. He has also been in films such as Bloom and V for Vendetta, and has several upcoming film projects that are coming out soon. -
