    Robidas was originally drafted 164th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 1995 NHL Draft. He spent his first few years with the Canadiens' American Hockey League affiliates, the Fredericton Canadiens/Quebec Citadelles. In 1999, he made his NHL debut with the Canadiens, playing a single game that season. Robidas played two additional seasons with the Canadiens, then was waived and picked up by the Atlanta Thrashers on October 4, 2002. That very same day Robidas was traded to the Dallas Stars. The following year he was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks, on November 17, 2003. Robidas chose to play in Germany during the 2004-05 NHL Lockout, for the Frankfurt Lions. Robidas returned to the U.S. in the summer of 2005, signing as a free agent with the Dallas Stars. He has since renewed that contract, signing a three year extension through 2009-10 on December 6, 2006.
