Stellan Skarsgard was born in Sweden. His sons are both actors as well. Stellan started his career at a young age in the Swedish TV and Film industry.
He then moved into Hollywood, starring in such films as Good Will Hunting and Pirates of the Caribbean. He has collaborated on a number of films with director Lars von Trier.
