The Sci-Fi Channel original series, Stargate Atlantis will air its 100th and final episode on Friday,-January 9, 2009 on the Sci Fi Channel. 'Stargate Atlantis is a spinoff from Stargate SG-1 and part of the MGM owned Stargate franchise.
Series Finale Notes

The Stargate team must do everything they can to stop a rogue wraith from heading to Earth with enough ZPMs to form a hive that will destroy the planet. The damaged Daedalus reaches the hive, but then jumps into hyperspace. Writers have promised that the series will not end on a cliffhanger despite word that a two hour movie will wrap up the events of the series.Gateworld: "Enemy at the Gate"
Stargate Atlantis Overview

Stargate Atlantis is a present day Science Fiction series featuring a piece of ancient equipment (The Stargate,) that allows people to travel between planetary systems through a wormhole. The Atlantis team was sent to the Pegasus Galaxy to live among an ancient civilization. During their expedition, the team awoke a sinister enemy known as the Wraith, who feed on human beings. The team's objective then becomes centered around saving humanity from the Wraith.
