Star Trek: Enterprise was the fifth live-action television series in the Star Trek franchise. It was set approximately one hundred years before the events in the original Star Trek series. It was cancelled by UPN after four seasons, the only Star Trek show besides the original to be canceled by a network.
Plot and Setting
Star Trek: Enterprise takes place about 100 years after Zephram Cochrane's invention of the warp drive, which vaulted humans into interstellar travel. The United Federation of Planets does not yet exist. The Enterprise is an Earth ship crewed largely by humans, and Earth has a contentious relationship with Vulcan and other planets. The rules that future crews will follow and the technology they will use are shown in their nascent stages on this show.
