-
The Calnus
- You'll be asked to assign rooms again - Bacchus has a default affinity towards the girls, and can room with Meracle. Lymle can be assigned to the same room as Faize if you've been doing the PAs listed so far.
- Examine the captain's terminal and select Roak as your next destination.
- After you land the ship, you can perform four PAs in any particular order.
-
-
The Calnus, Revisited
- Examine the IC panel for a scene with Welch, and you can start holding Invention Sessions with Meracle. Try a few sessions and you'll get the recipe for the Fang Flute, which you need to complete a previously mentioned side quest on Lemuris.
- Boos everyone's IC skill to 10 if you can, which will unlock more recipes, even if you don't have the materials needed to make them at this point.
-
Roak
- Roak is your next destination, and is home to some new enemies, as well as Harvest and Mining Points.
Northeast Astralian Continent
- Monsters Encountered: Axe Break, Honeybee, Kobold Bandit, Unicorn Wolf, Waving Pincers
- Harvest Items: Caterpillar Fungus, Lemon, Red Herb, Vegetables, Wooden Stick
- Mining Items: Gold, Silver, Thunder Gem
- Spend a bit of time fighting to boost your party's levels - you'll get decent EXP, but only 1% analysis per enemy defeated. Return to the Calnus to rest and reset the Harvest and Mining Points. There are two NPCs here, but they don't carry valuable items, so ignore them as pickpocketing targets.
- If you search the beach, you find some random items washed ashore - everything from lowly common items, to highly rare items like Platinum. To find them, look for sparkles in the sand. When you finish here, head to the southwestern exit, just over the hanging bridge.
Tatroi Area
- Watch the cutscene, then head to the center of the area to trigger another scene and meet Sarah Jerand. Edge will turn her down, and she'll leave, allowing you to explore and do some stuff in town.
- Head to the shops and see what new materials and skill books you can find. There is no new equipment except for the Bastard Sword, which Edge can equip. Work on completing as many orders as possible, as well.

Roak, Tatroi Area
- The Tent available in Tools 'R' Us is useful while out in the field - it restores your entire party's HP/MP completely. They're a bit expensive, but having five or so saves you a lot of trouble in the long run, especially when grinding for levels or getting 100% analysis on enemies.
- Buy ten or so of each material offered in the Black Cat Material Shop for future IC sessions. Don't worry if none of your current recipes call for any of the materials, as it's just a preparation for future events.
- The Suspicious Psychokineticist can recharge your rings, so get them recharged if needed. Talk to the Veteran Guard to obtain data on the Guardsmen Lance, then talk to Jarvis the Hot-Blooded Bouncer to get data on the Bouncer's Sword.
- There are two side quests available right now, so go ahead and complete them before heading out.
Roak Side Quests
- Both of these quests are available as soon as you enter Roak.
Missing Brother
- Talk to Fez in the bookstore, and he'll ask you to find his missing brother and deliver a note to him. You'll find the brother in Tropp, at the Docks.
- He won't return to Tatroi until after he clears the Astral Desert quicksand skater, but when he does you can talk to Fez to receive 300 EXP and 50 PSP, as well as talk to the brother, who'll open a new counter and sell rare skill manuals.
The Seafarer's Treasure
- On the way to the barge in Tatroi's dock, talk to the Dutiful Sailor. He'll tell you that he's lost his friend's pendant, and ask you to retrieve it.
- The pendant is washed up on the beach of Northeast Astralian Continent, near the Calnus and light tower. You can either travel all the way back, or wait until a bit later to complete this quest.
- In either event, when you find it and return the pendant to the Dutiful Sailor, he'll reward you with 400 EXP, 22 PSP, and a Seafarer's Harpoon.
- When you finish the side quests, head to the Black Tribe Tent to watch a cutscene.
Roak, Tatroi Area II
- Talk to the Fully-Prepared Man to receive a Glowstick, then talk to the Elder sitting by the tent's entrance to watch a scene. Your party receives the Bunny Reins after, and you can now go to the field and catch bunnies.
- Before you leave, enter the tent and check the chest to obtain Bellwether's Bow. Cross the bridge and opt to catch some bunnies, and watch the following scenes. Reimi will temporarily leave the party, so head back to Tatroi and to the docks, then take the barge to Astral Castle - more cutscenes will ensue.
Astral City
- You'll start back in control in King's Inn, 2F. Leave the inn, and head to Mobius' Shop south of the inn to buy some HP Boost and Critical Hit skill manuals for future party members(or your current ones, if they are lacking).
- Check the sparkle near the stairs to get some Fol, then head upstairs and loot the three chests for items. Head outside, and talk to the Terminally Shy Knight to get data on Donel's Sword.
- Talk to Lias to the east - he has blue hair. He'll give you the data on Astral's Sword. Pickpocket the Astralian Emblem from him, which gives you a large boost to your ATK and a small one to your DEF.
- Head to the residence in the south to find a chest protected by a dark barrier - you can't open it, but remember its location for later.

- NOTE: The Faithful Servant, Shrewd Guard, and Overly-Cautious Guard are not at the castle on the first visit - you'll need to come back later after curing Reimi and having the event of Myuria.
Astral Castle
- After you meet the King of Astral, you'll be escorted to the second floor. Once you regain control of the party, loot the chest in the room to collect some Health Seeds, then head back to the Audience Chamber to watch more cutscenes.
- After it is decided that you'll chase down Black Eagle, return to the castle, and open the chest to the left of the throne to obtain the Veinslay Sword for Edge. Head back to Tatroi to start investigating the whereabouts of Black Eagle.
Tatroi
- From the docks, head towards the main street of Tatroi. Talk to the Unlucky Old Woman, who's walking around the statue, then head north to the Colosseum and talk to the Manly, Uptight Warrior.
- Check Edge's equipment, skills, and HP/MP - you should boost whatever you can before entering the Colosseum. When you're ready, save your game, then enter the Colosseum and prepare for a one-on-one fight.
BOSS: Black Eagle
- HP: 37916
- Resists: N/A
- Weak: N/A
- EXP: 871
- Fol: 2031
- Drops: Attack Seeds
- Fighting Black Eagle is rather simple, if you're proficient in using Blindside attacks. Attack him three times, then launch him into the air by using a directional attack - hit him on his way down with Rising Blade, and if you have the Chain Combo skill for Edge, you can hit him with one additional special attack.
- If the above is too much trouble, simply use Rush Combos to quickly defeat Black Eagle - after he's defeated, you'll obtain Attack Seeds and have another cutscene to watch.
Astral City II
- The next day, Reimi will rejoin the party. New side quests will become available in Astral City and Tatroi, so complete as many of them as possible. Some of them can be completed only after you visit the next town, Tropp, but you can activate them now if you want.
- After you initiate all of the side quests, head on to Tropp by using the barge at the docks.
Astral City Side Quests
- These side quests can be activated in Astral City after Reimi rejoins the party.
Locked Out
- Talk to the Careless Shopkeeper, to the east of the fountain - she'll tell you that she's lost her keys in the Tatroi bar.
- The bartender has the keys, but he's not in the bar - look outside the bar's west door to find him. Talk to him to receive the keys, and take them back to the shopkeeper to have her open the Treasure Hunter Weapons shop, as well as gain 300 EXP and 14 PSP.
Musical Mending
- Talk to the Teary-Eyed Girl outside of the inn to obtain a Broken Music Box. You need to repair it using Welch's assistance. Make sure you have Repair Kits, which you can get from the Tools 'R' Us shop.
- Return to the Calnus, repair the music box, and deliver it to the Teary-Eyed Girl to receive 1000 EXP, 45 PSP, and the Recipe Memo 06.
Latest Beauty Fad
- Talk to the Heavily Made-Up Lady north of the fountain. If you can give her 10 Peryton Droppings(obtained from fighting Axe Breaks), you'll receive 1000 EXP and 46 PSP.
The Stray Carrot
- Head to Astral Castle 2F and talk to the Overly-Cautious Knight. You'll need to head to Tatroi and enter Gordeau's Spirits to find the Manly, Uptight Warrior.
- Pickpocket the Carrot Doll from the warrior, which requires level 6 Pickpocket or higher, and give it to the knight to receive 1200 EXP and 48 PSP.
Tatroi Side Quests
- These quests can be activated after returning to Tatroi.
Crazy for Grape Juice
- Talk to the Fruit-Crazy Old Man near the statue, and he'll inform you that he wants grape juice from Tropp.
- After you arrive in Tropp, head to the weapon shop to find the grape juice dealer - buy juice from him for 300 Fol and return to the Fruit-Crazy Old Man to receive 800 EXP and 50 PSP.
The Shoddy Doll
- Talk to the Shadowy Dollmaker - he's southwest of the statue. He'll give you the Wooden Doll, which you need to deliver to someone in the Tropp Inn.
- After you deliver the doll, return to the dollmaker to receive 400 EXP and 42 PSP, as well as start the In Search of Anessa side quest.
In Search of Anessa
- After you complete 'The Shoddy Doll side quest, talk to the Shadowy Dollmaker again. You'll be charged with finding a girl named Anessa.
- Head back to Astral, and head east, towards the bridge. You'll find Anessa standing in front of a lamp post - talk to her to receive 800 EXP and 38 PSP.
The First Errand
- Talk to Jasmine, Queen of Inventors - she's in her house. Give her Fresh Sage X10 to complete this quest, and trigger the next. For the Fresh Sage, you'll receive 150 EXP, 30 PSP, and an Ultimate Bomb.
The Second Errand
- This time, Jasmine wants Bee Stingers X9. You can obtain these from Honeybees - give Jasmine the requirement to obtain 300 EXP, 32 PSP, and four HP Absorption Units.
Roak, Tatroi Area III
- As soon as you get here, keep moving until you pass the Black Tribe tent - you'll trigger a cutscene. Head across the bridge, and you'll see a pink bunny.
- Approach the bunny, and examine it to mount it - this works similar to Chocobos in Final Fantasy; you can engage enemies, but they won't attack you; you travel faster, but can't dash, mine, or harvest; and finally, dismounting from the bunny will make you lose the bunny.
- After you mount the bunny, head to the Northeast Astralian Continent.
Roak, Northeast Astralian Continent
- Head to the Calnus and try making some new armors, as well as fixing the Music Box for the Teary-Eyed Girl(quest related). You can also create Fang Flutes by now if you've been doing everything right, so create two for the quest that requires them mentioned earlier in this walkthrough.
- Try your hand at making dishes like Caesar Salad and Curry Rice to complete orders for shops, then head back to Tatroi and Astral to complete the remaining quests.
- You'll be heading to the Purgatorium, but you should check Tropp first to complete some quests - it also gives you access to new weapons and skill manuals. You need a bunny to cross the first quicksand bar in the Astral Desert, so keep your eyes open.
Astral Desert
- Monsters Encountered: Desert Ogre, Honeybees, Kobold Bandit, Skeleton Armor, Thieving Scumbag, Unicorn Wolf
- Harvest Items: Bizarre Fruit, Poison Hemlock, Seasonings, Thornberries
- Mining Items: Iron, Light Gem, Platinum, Ruby, Salamanderstone, Silver, Sylphstone
- This is the last place you can fight Honeybees, Unicorn Wolves, and Kobold Bandits. They're common enemies here, so getting 100% analysis shouldn't be too difficult. Acquire the Silver Chalice near the oasis - it's invaluable, as it restores 30% HP and is replenished every 5 battles.
- Head to the next area, and don't bother analyzing the new enemies just yet - the next area has a higher concentration of the new enemies. Be sure to check the beach for the random objects that wash ashore.
Tropp Area
- Monsters Encountered: Albero Di Anima, Axe Break, Desert Ogre, Harpy, Mandragora, Skeleton Armor, Thieving Scumbag
- Harvest Items: Lemon, Ripe Berries, Thornberries, White Rice, Seasonings, Poison Hemlock
- Mining Items: Iron, Light Gem, Thunder Gem, Shadestone, Aluminum
- If you kept the bunny, you can head west past the quicksand and directly to Tropp. If you didn't keep the bunny, you'll need to take the route to the Cave to the Purgatorium, in the north of the map.
- Keep a lot of Red Herbs and Speech Restoration Units on hand when facing Harpies - they use Symbology attacks and can inflict Silence on your characters.
