Cardianon Mothership, Dock
- After you are pulled in by the Cardianon tractor beam, save your game. Get the two items by the dock(Defense Seeds and Bigberries X2), then head to the exit in the southeast.
- A battle will be triggered - defeat the enemies and continue to the first floor of the Cardianon Mothership.
-
Cardianon Mothership
- Be sure to check all throughout the map for items - there's a Taunt skill manual and a Wisdom Bracelet in the room east of the southernmost vertical hallway on your map.
1F
- Monsters Encountered: Assaulter Guard Bot, Commando Guard Bot
- Harvest Items: N/A
- Mining Items: N/A
- You can get a Thunder Ring on this floor, which is required to pass through the central door that closes when you approach it. Collect the items on this floor, notably the Thunder Ring, Taunt manual, and Wisdom Bracelet, then approach the POI and use the Thunder Ring on the control panel.
- You'll short out the power circuit, opening the door. You can recharge the Thunder Ring completely by examining the electric jolts that jump out of the destroyed control panel. Head south and grab the remaining items, then head to the next area.
B1
- You can find the Auto-Healing and Chain Combos skill manuals on this floor - save the Auto-Healing for a new character if you don't have any battle skill slots available.
- After you find all the items on this floor, head to the terminal on the west side of the main floor to snag some data on the Cardianon Mothership. Examine the main terminal in the center to get the password for unlocking the door to the northeast.
- When you're finished, head through the exit to floor B2.
B2
- Monsters Encountered: Assaulter Guard Bot, Cardianon Soldier, Commando Guard Bot, Dragon Newt, Lizard Shaman, Lizard Warrior
- Harvest Items: N/A
- Mining Items: N/A
- Cardianon Soldiers are considered humanoid, so a high Anthropology skill means more drops from them. There's also Compact Vendor Unit here, which works like a shop - don't bother buying Gunpower or Microcircuits yet, because the enemies coming up drop them.
Compact Vendor Unit 003
- Inventory:
- Blueberries - 40
- Blackberries - 60
- Ripe Berries - 200
- Basil - 30
- Fresh Sage - 150
- Compact Poison Bomb - 800
- Compact Stun Bomb - 800
- Compact Freezing Bomb - 800
- Compact Silence Bomb - 700
- Scrambling Unit - 300
- Gunpowder - 80
- Microcircuit - 400
- You'll need to accomplish quite a bit while you're here - familiarize yourself with the map so that this process is easier to accomplish without constantly getting lost.
- First, head to the Crysleep Chamber, and examine the corpse of the Cardianon Soldier for a cutscene. Then, head to the Temperature Control Terminal in the east annex and use the Thunder Ring to destroy the controls - this raises the chamber temperature, and releases new enemies.
- Take the time to get 100% analysis on the Lizard Warriors here, as this is the only area where they appear in large numbers. Reset and respawn the enemies by entering and exiting from B1.
- Examine the dead body again to receive the Cardianon ID Card, then head to the registration station in the northeast and use the Thunder Ring on the controls to gain entry.
- Examine the terminal to register the ID, then collect the items here and examine the access panel by the save point - swipe your ID card, and make sure you've done everything you can. After you continue, you won't be heading back here. Watch the cutscenes - they're interesting, to say the least.
Biological Lab B1
- After you talk to the lizards, speak with your allies. If you choose the wrong dialog option, just speak to them again and select a different answer. After you talk to them all, you'll be treated with another cutscene, and afterwards Bacchus joins your party.
- Bacchus starts with two special attacks - Force Breaker and Galvanic Shock. Force Breaker is a mid-to-long range attack, while Galvanic Shock is a close range Electric attack for multiple damage and a chance to stun enemies.
- Bacchus also has the Mining skill, meaning you can now use the Mining points to mine gems and minerals. He also knows Stealth, which allows you to make Edge invisible when exploring - great for making a mad dash to a save point or avoiding fights with 100% analyzed enemies. The higher the level of Stealth, the longer its duration, but if you bump into an enemy while stealthed, you'll still initiate a fight.
- After you regain control of your party, you'll start working your way towards the surface. This is the last area where you can fight Lizard Warriors and Dragon Newts, so if you haven't gotten 100% analysis on either, now is the time.
Biological Lab 1F
- There's a recovery point here, as well as a Compact Vendor Unit. Examine the Vendor twice to trigger a PA between Bachus, Edge, and Lymle, and stock up on recovery items.
- There's an ambush behind the next door, where you'll need to fight and defeat five waves of monsters - this nets you 5 green tiles and rewards you with +150% EXP, so definitely see it out.
- Take the Cardianon Bow from the chest for Reimi, then use the recovery point to heal up before heading to the exit due south of your position.
Subterranean City
- Monsters Encountered: Armed Dragoon, Armed Dragon Newt, Assaulter Guard Bot, Cardianon General, Commando Guard Bot, Lizard Shaman
- Harvest Items: N/A
- Mining Items: N/A
- Be careful when fighting the Armed Dragoons, as they can easily break through your defense and smash your Bonus Board along with dealing massive damage. Fight them from a distance and let Edge or Bacchus act as your "tank", absorbing the hits and being the target of their Rage Pointer.
- There are three ambush points as you work your way towards the entrance to Control Tower 1F where you'll fight Cardianon reinforcements. You can't avoid these fights, even if you use your new Stealth skill, so be prepared for them ahead of time - the first is after you find the Rage skill manual, the next is just past the Dragon Scale Armor, and the last is right before you reach the turn where the path shoots east on your map.
Control Tower B1
- Monsters Encountered: Armed Dragoon, Armed Dragon Newt, Assaulter Guard Bot, Cardianon Soldier, Commando Guard Bot, Lizard Shaman
- Harvest Items: N/A
- Mining Items: N/A
- There is a hazy fog throughout this area, so be careful and keep your eyes peeled for any enemy charges. Use Stealth while exploring the area to avoid sneak attacks by the enemies here. There are security laser fences installed throughout the area.
- You'll need to walk around the vanishing fences to reach all the chests and exits here, but the enemies do not - if you're not using Stealth, don't be surprised if an enemy walks through a laser fence to attack you. If you try, however, you'll lose a small amount of HP.
- You'll want to head to the Generator Area B2 first to collect a few items before heading to Control Tower 1F.
Generator Area B2
- There are no monsters here, so take your time and collect all of the items. You'll be returning here after you defeat the boss of this place, so ignore the large room for now.
- When you're finished, head back to the previous room and use the vending machine to restock your restorative items before taking the exit to Control Tower 1F.
Control Tower 1F
- You can't see the barriers here without a little work - you need to destroy the gas vents with the Thunder Ring. The gas will spew on the barriers, making them visible, as well as giving you some bonus EXP and PSP.
- When you enter the first door, there will be two Armed Dragoon enemies waiting for you, so be careful. There are a total of four destructible vents, and three items worth grabbing - a Booster Wand, a Stun skill manual, and Element Breaker X3. Be sure to grab them all before heading to Control Tower 2F.
Control Tower 2F
- Monsters Encountered: Armed Dragoon, Armed Dragon Newt, Cardianon General, Cardianon Soldier, Dragon General, Lizard Shaman
- Harvest Items: N/A
- Mining Items: N/A
- This is your last area to fight Armed Dragoons, so be sure to get 100% analysis on them before moving to the next floor. There's a restoration point here to help you out, and the last Dragoon spawn point is located near it, so just reset the floor by heading back to 1F and returning to get them analyzed.
- The final stage of the Cardianons appears on this floor - the Dragon General. It's extremely tough, and impossible to avoid, so be prepared with recovery items and determination. Amazingly enough, you can juggle these enemies in the air - however, they can knock you down just as easily and break your Bonus Board.
- The next area is the last one where you can fight the Dragon Generals, so make sure you get 100% analysis on them before you head to 3F, due to the rotating floor and because the recovery point on 2F makes it tons easier.
Control Tower 3F
- Monsters Encountered: Armed Dragoon, Armed Dragon Newt, Cardianon General, Cardianon Soldier, Dragon General, Lizard Shaman
- There are two rotating platforms on this floor, both of which have enemies on them. The lower platform is easier to use to pass under the lasers to reach the destinations on this floor.
- This is the last floor to fight Cardianon Generals, Armed Dragon Newts, and Dragon Generals, so make sure you have your analysis completed for all three before continuing to the elevator.
Control Tower 55F
- Heal, and make sure you've got the best equipment and weapons on your party. Check their skills to make sure they're correct, and boost any of them that you can. Save your game, and enter the door for a cutscene, followed by a boss fight.
BOSS FIGHT: Sahariel
- HP: ???
- Resists: Fire, Wind
- Weak: Water, Thunder
- EXP: 10003
- Fol: 7711
- Drops: N/A
- Sahariel uses Rush Mode quite a bit, so switch to a long-range attacker before you get your Bonus Board smashed to pieces. If you can finish this battle with a fully-intact Bonus Board that includes 10 blue tiles, you will receive massive amounts of EXP.
- Sahariel doesn't take much damage from attacks unless hit in his weak spot, which is located on his chest. In order to exploit this weak spot, you'll need to be proficient in switching chracters to preserve your Bonus Board and use your long-range attackers.
- Sahariel attacks with homing missiles and a cannon, as well as a Voltage Blast move. Before he performs Voltage Blast, he'll reveal the weak point on his chest - attack it to cancel his attack and deal massive damage.
- Start by controlling Edge or Bacchus and attack from anywhere but the front. Once Sahariel stands up, it'll perform a Chain or Rush Combo. After you knock him back over, dash away to avoid being hit by the ground stomp attack that has a high chance of Critical damage.
- Use Lymle's Lightning attacks as often as you can, use restorative spells and Symbols when you need to, and keep Edge focused on attacking instead of healing. Bacchus' Irradiate attack also works in getting past Sahariel's armor and dealing damage.
- After you defeat Sahariel, watch the cutscenes, and Bacchus will leave the party - don't worry, he'll be back. Take the elevator in the south.
Emergency Bypass
- Take the Emergency Bypass, and try to avoid being trapped by the closing doors as you dash your way through this area. If you do get trapped, you'll have to defeat a couple of waves of Guard Bots to get by.
- As you proceed, a woman will make an appearance during another short cutscene - just keep heading through the rest of the area until you reach the Dock, then take the stairs to the Calnus and finish by watching the next cutscene.
