Planet Aeos
- This walkthrough assumes that you use the default names for all of the characters.
The Calnus, Crew's Quarters
- Begin by watching the cutscenes, and you'll begin the game properly in the battle simulator. It's recommended that you complete all of the battle simulator lessons before you continue.
- You'll be treated with more cutscenes, and finally be able to gain control of Edge. Exit the simulation room to the Crew's Quarters, and take a moment to become familiar with the map and icons by pressing Start - the purple exclamation marks are points of interest.
- There are three points of interest(POI) in this part of the ship, which are the battle simulator, the room assignment chart, and your bed. The blue crosses on your map denote paths leading to another area, and the purple circle represents a save point. The yellow icons denote NPCs.
- There's one more map icon that you won't see right now, but will become quite important later - a green circle, which denotes a recovery point, where you can fully recover your entire party's HP/MP. When you're through exploring, head to the flight deck.
The Calnus, Flight Deck
- Talk to Reimi to start the launch sequence, then sit back and enjoy the cutscenes. You'll arrive on the planet Aeos - talk to Reimi, and you'll be in control of Edge again. Head back inside the Calnus and talk to Van by the entrance to the meeting room to receive a Recipe Memo 05 (Storm Blade).
- Enter the meeting room and head inside the north storage room, then examine the shelves to get the weapon data for SRF-issued F98 Assault Rifle.
- Head back to the flight deck and examine the pilot terminals to get the spaceship data for the Aquila and the Calnus. Now head back outside and talk to Rich near the ladder to get the Sniper's Bangle, and equip it.
- Save your game, then talk to everyone, saving Reimi for last. You'll see another short cutscene, followed by a battle. Use what you learned in the simulator to crush these enemies with Blindside attacks, and return to the Calnus' flight deck afterward to report to the captain.
- Watch the cutscene, and Reimi will join your party. The debris blocking your path earlier is gone, so you can fully explore the Landing Point area.
Landing Point
- Monsters Encountered: Adephaga, Adephaga Drus, Killer Wasp
- Harvest Items: Aquaberries, Blueberries, Insect Egg, Lemon, Pickled Plum, Vegetables, White Rice
- Mining Items: Iron, Silver
- To the east of the save point is a Harvest Point, and Reimi has this as a command skill - stand on the Harvest Point and press B to gather various items. This Harvest Point is restocked when you enter and exit the Calnus - use that to your advantage to exploit it for free EXP and Party SP along with the random items.
- You can level up Reimi's Harvest skill to increase the quality and quantity of items you receive from Harvest Points. Once you have a full load of Blueberries and Aquaberries, it's time to head out.
- There are Mining Points, but you can't mine anything just yet - you can return here later on, so don't worry about it. Collect the items, build your Bonus Board by defeating enemies, and return to the Calnus to rest when your HP gets too low.
Urd Falls Cave
- Monsters Encountered: Adephaga, Adephaga Drus, Gerel, Giant Bat, Killer Wasp
- Harvest Items: Aquaberries, Bizarre Fruit, Blackberries, Blueberries, Insect Egg, Seaweed, Vegetables, White Rice
- Mining Items: Iron, Silver
- There's a few new enemies in this area, including the Giant Bat. This is the only area where you can fight it, so if you want to get 100% analysis on it, you might have to enter and exit Urd Falls Cave to have them respawn.
- The blocked area can't be accessed at this time, so ignore it. On your map, the POI in the upper right portion is a ledge you can jump off if you entered from the Northern Coast - that's where a PA with Reimi can be triggered, but you also need to return there after you acquire the Calnus.
- Check the cocoons for items, as well as the holes in the walls. Avoid checking the same hole more than once, or steam will leak out and damage the party.
- The Gerels can reproduce during battle, so let them multiply for more EXP before defeating them. Head out of the northwest of your map to reach the Northern Coast.
Northern Coast
- Monsters Encountered: Adephaga Drus, Gerel, Killer Chelae, Killer Wasp, Polyphaga
- Harvest Items: Blueberries, Defense Seed, Fresh Sage, Insect Egg, Lemon, Pickled Plum, Seaweed, Vegetables
- Mining Items: Iron, SIlver
- The Polyphaga can only be found in this area, so to obtain 100% analysis, you'll need to defeat 34 of them here - they appear as one monster per spawn, so you'll need to fight the full 34. Percent per monster depends on the monster you're dealing with - some monsters require less fights to obtain the 100% analysis on.
- There's a Recovery Circle in this area, which you can use to restore your party's HP/MP - use this to your advantage and grind for some levels here. Don't jump from the ledge to the north of the Recovery Circle, as you don't have the means to get back up without activating the next cutscene and starting the boss fight.
- Grab all of the items you can reach and then check the Harvest Points. Use the Recovery Circle, save your game, and when you're finished, jump from the ledge to reach the shore.
- Grab the items here and check the Harvest Point before you head to the yellow icon. Avoid any unnecessary battles - you'll be in a large one soon enough.
BOSS FIGHT: Armaros
- HP: ???
- Resists: Water, Wind
- Weak: Earth
- EXP: 40
- Fol: 609
- Faize will join you in this battle - he's a Swordsman that can use Symbols. Armaros is weak against Earth, which Faize can take advantage of by using the Earth Glaive attack.
- Armaros has an outer shell that protects it's weak point, so you won't do much damage to it to begin with. Attack from a distance with Reimi to have it lock on with it's Rage Pointer, then use Faize and Edge to destroy the shell.
- Armaros can use Electric and Ice attacks - if you see a seal forming in front of it, it's preparing to use the Ice Needles attack. Wait until it releases the attack, then run away to avoid taking damage. After the shell breaks, attack the weak point repeatedly using Faize's Earth Glaive attack to deal massive damage.
- After you defeat Armaros, head east, snagging any remaining items and take the only entrance to Urd Falls Cave.
Exploration Base
- Follow the path and jump off the ledge, then head to the exit due south. Head to the southern area of the map to find a newly-constructed base, built with the Eldarian's help.
- You can go north, past the bridge, to reach the other side of the Northern Coast to find a few more items if you wish. When you're finished, head back to the base.
- There are four chests to loot that are semi-hidden in dark areas. Enter the base from any side, and check the two chests in the southern wing of the base. You can rest here if you need to.
- Examine the terminals in the middle to receive data on the Eldarian ships Zagzagel, Sol, and Rednuht.
- The shops are in the northeast wing of the base - stop by and purchase some skill manuals and accept item orders for EXP and Fol. If you exploited the Harvest Point at the beginning, you ought to have adequate material to complete up to four orders, which in turn should boost you a level.
- Base Shop Omega sells the last component needed to create the Storm Blade, so buy all the skill manuals and two Eldarian Bows - you should have enough Fol at this point. One of the Eldarian Bows is for completing a later order. Boost Faize's Entomology skill a few levels to increase the drop rate of insect enemies, since they're everywhere on Aeos.

The Missing Patient
- Visit Airi in the base's Infirmary - she's the Eldarian physician. The Infirmary is in the southeast wing - speak to Airi, and you'll learn that one of your friend's has gone missing.
- Exit the base and head to the hangar where the Calnus is docked, and you'll find Rich along the way, staring off into the distance.
- Talk to Rich about Airi, then return to her to receive 10 EXP and 24 PSP.
Leg Collector
- Talk to Lilia in the research lab in the southwest wing to accept the quest. You need to deliver 10 Insect Legs to her, which you can get from fighting Adephagas - you should already have enough if you've been fighting them every chance you get.
- If you don't, level up Faize's Entomology skill to increase insect enemy drop rates, then fight Adephagas until you have 10 Insect Legs. Take them back to Lilia to receive 20 EXP, 18 PSP, and Blueberries.
Egg Collector
- After you complete the Leg Collector side quest, Lilia will ask you to bring her 8 Insect Eggs. These can be harvested from Harvest Points, or dropped by Adephaga.
- Keep battling Adephaga if you don't have enough of them already, then take them back to Lilia to receive 30 EXP, 20 PSP, Aquaberries, and Recipe Memo 20.
Finishing Up
- Now that you've finished the side quests, return to the comm room and talk to Gaghan, then to Captain Grafton, and watch the cutscenes. You are now the captain of the Calnus!
- After your crew gets prepared, talk to Faize to obtain a Monster Jewel. You can transfer the data of a 100% analyzed monster to it to convert it to an accessory with stats based on that monster. The best monster data currently is the Adephaga Drus, which makes an accessory that boosts your ATK by 5, and your HP by 100.
- There's a PA between Edge and Reimi back in Urd Falls Cave, at the ledge you jump down where the glowing flowers are located. If you haven't triggered it yet, go ahead and do so, then when you're ready examine the panel in the captain's seat.
