Battle Trophies
Star Ocean: The Last Hope, like previous Star Ocean games wil include in-game rewards known as Battle Trophies. Though the full list of Battle Trophies hasn't been revealed, they're expected to be similar to previous games. A number of Xbox 360 achievements for the game are tied to collecting the Battle Trophies.In Till the End of Time there were 300 possible battle trophies. Each trophy was awarded for completing a specific goal in the game provided the player was playing on a difficulty level above the "Earth" difficulty. If the player wished to collect Battle Trophies, they needed to create a special Battle Trophy file upon startig the game. Once the file was created, Battle Trophies would be saved, regardless of how many times the player played through the game.
Collecting Battle Trophies also unlocked new in-game features, such as alternate costumes for the characters and new difficulty modes.
Some of the goals Battle Trophies were awarded for included completing a certain number of battles, defeating a certain number of enemies, simultaneously defeating a certain number of enemies, scoring a certain number of hits or achieving a certain number of chains.GameFAQs: Star Ocean: Till the End of Time Battle Trophy FAQ

- Novice Battler: (10 points) Obtain 20% of all battle trophies.
- Practiced Battler: (10 points) Obtain 30% of all battle trophies.
- Skilled Battler: (10 points) Obtain 40% of all battle trophies.
- Accomplished Battler: (10 points) Obtain 50% of all battle trophies.
- Seasoned Battler: (10 points) Obtain 60% of all battle trophies.
- Advanced Battler: (10 points) Obtain 70% of all battle trophies.

- Abolished Armaros: (20 points) Defeated Armaros on the northern coast of Aeos.
- Butchered Barachiel: (20 points) Defeated Barachiel in the engine room of the celestial ship.
- Escaped from Earth: (20 points) Narrowly escaped from the alternate Earth before its untimely demise.
