About the Game

Star Ocean: Second Evolution is the sequel to the 2008 PSP game, Star Ocean: First Departure. The PSP games are remakes of the original two Star Ocean games, which were released for the Super Famicom and PlayStation consoles.
The game takes place in Star Date 366, twenty years after the events of the first game. A Federation officer is unexpectedly transported to an uncharted world, where he is hailed as the Hero of Light. A meteorite has landed on the planet and the inhabitants believe the Hero has come to fullfill a prophecy.
Second Evolution features redesigned characters and fully voiced animated cutscenes. The gameplay is identical to that of First Departure, although new Private Actions have been added to the game. Private Actions are side stories centered around particular characters. Special events occur during Private Actions, which allow the character to make new friends and possibly recruit them to the party.Official Site: Star Ocean: Second Evolution
