  • The Staple Center is a multi purpose sports arena in down town Los Angeles, California. It is located near the Los Angeles Convention Center complex and is owned by the L.A Arena Company.

    On July 7, 2009, the Staple Center will host the funeral of the late pop legend Michael Jackson.

  • Notable Events

    The Staple Center has hosted numerous functions and concerts including Grammy Awards and the first Latin Grammy Awards in 2000.

    The 2000 Democratic National Convention, the 2002 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, the 52nd NHL All-Star game, the 2004 NBA All-Star Game, the Pac-10 Basketball Finals since 2002, and the WTA Tour Championships from 2002 to 2005 all took place at the Staple Center. Summer Slam 2009 will be held in Staple Centre in August. Michael Jackson's memorial will take place at the Staples Center on Tuesday July 7th.

    The Staple Center is home to four professional sports franchisees: Los Angeles Lakers & Los Angeles Clippers of NBA, Los Angeles Kings of NHL and Los Angeles Sparks of WNAB. The arena hosts about 250 events in a year.
