The Stanford University Lady Cardinals is a college basketball team competing in the Pac-10 Conference. They have won two national championships and have reached the Final Four eight times. They are lead by Tara VanDerveer, who has guided the Lady Cardinals to the NCAA Tournament in each of her 20 seasons at the helm. Several players in Cardinal history have gone onto professional prominence, including Jennifer Azzi, Sonja Henning and Kate Starbird.
