Stand By Me is a 1986 coming-of-age drama about four friends on a quest to find a reported dead body. The film is based on the book The Body by Stephen King and stars Wil Wheaton, River Phoenix, Corey Feldman, Jerry O'Connell and Kiefer Sutherland. Each of the characters featured in the film has some type of emotional burden which is revealed during the film. The story unfolds as one of the main characters Gordie (who later becomes an author) is writing it about his experiences.
