St. Elmo's Fire is a 1985 coming-of-age drama film about seven friends struggling to adjust to adulthood in the months after graduating from Georgetown University. The Joel Schumacher directed film boasted an ensemble cast of soon-to-be stars, including members of what would eventually become known as the Brat Pack. The film's themes of lost innocence and the struggle for personal independence helped it resonate with a generation of movie-goers.
