Part of the Western Christian tradition, Spy Wednesday, also known as Holy Wednesday, is the Wednesday before Easter. It is called "Spy Wednesday" in reference to Judas Iscariot's first conspiratorial meeting with the Sanhedrin to betray Jesus for thirty silver coins.
