The Sprint Nextel Corporation is the third largest mobile phone carriers in the United States, behind Verizon and AT&T. The corporation is the result of Sprint's acquisition of Nextel. It is the exclusive carrier for the popular iPhone. Sprint is about to combine with Clearwire to build a high-speed wireless network with investments from companies such as Comcast Corp, Intel Corp and Google Inc.

In 1997, Sprint Nextel announced a partnership with RadioShack electronics stores, wherein Sprint stores would open at RadioShacks across the United States. Since the announcement, more than 20,000,000 Sprint cell phones have been sold through the partnership. -
