Sprint Layoffs

The Sprint Nextel Corporation announced on January 26, 2009, that it would cut approximately 8,000 jobs by March 31, 2009. In a press release, the telecommunications provider said the layoffs would "reduce internal and external labor costs by approximately $1.2 billion on an annualized basis." 2008 Layoffs

On Friday, January 18, 2008, Sprint Nextel announced it would layoff about 4,000 workers and reduce the contractor staff-on-hand.
