In the video game Spore, players control a world of life beings from the inception of its creation as a cell to a full blown working society that can travel to outer space. Players take on the role of a god, as they create life, mold the beings into any form they want, and watch them become the society he or she wants them to be. The game continues until players can find a way past the Grox Empire, a civilization located in outer space that blocks the way to the galactic center. The game is very open ended, in that players can create a violent society or a peaceful world. The life beings can be altered into whatever the player feels like. There are several phases of life in the game, with the final being the space phase.
