The Civilization Stage in Spore takes place after the successful completion of the Tribal stage, when your tribal camp evolves into a city. The goal of Spore's Civilization stage is for your city to develop into the planet's dominant species amongst the various rival nations. It is your choice to decide strategically how you will unite the planet, e.g., military takeover, religious conversion or by purchasing other cities outright. Once the entire planet has been united, the UFO editor is enabled and Space stage begins.
