During an FBI wiretap, former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer was allegedly heard requesting the services of escorts from the Emperors Club VIP. Spitzer, who is identified in an FBI affidavit as "Client-9," allegedly rendezvoused with a prostitute, identified as "Kristen," at a Washington, D.C., hotel in February of 2008. The ensuing scandal pervaded the media, and ultimately lead to Spitzer's resignation.
