  • The animated film Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron follows the life and adventures of a wild mustang named Spirit who many try to tame but ultimately fail. Matt Damon provides the voiceover as Spirit but the actual animals in the film do not speak.
  • Plot Summary

    Massive herds of wild horses once roamed the West and the film focuses on one wild mustang who leads one such herd. The film follows the stallion as he grows into a leader as he follows in his father's footsteps. Soon Spirit is captured when he encounters man for the first time and defies being broken. During his capture he befriends a young boy named Little Creek who aides in his release. The young stallion also falls in loves with a mare named Rain on his return as a leader to his herd.
