The Spice Girls are an all-female pop group from England that have released three full albums and a full length motion picture. After a six year hiatus, they reunited for a nine country world tour in 2007.

An article in the British magazine Top of the Pops dubbed each of the Spice Girls with a nickname reflecting their corresponding image. Victoria Beckham became known as "Posh Spice", Emma Bunton "Baby Spice", Melanie Brown Scary Spice", Geri Halliwell "Ginger Spice" and Melanie Chisholm "Sporty Spice". The group was managed by Simon Fuller, creator of the Idol series.
