Career Transactions
Haywood played for the Denver Rockets of the ABA for one season before being drafted (30th overall pick) by the Buffalo Braves in the 1971 NBA Draft. He joined the Seattle SuperSonics and played for 5 seasons. In 1975, he was traded to the New York Knicks for cash and a draft choice. After 4 seasons with Knicks, he was traded to New Orleans Jazz and played for one season. When the Jazz moved to Utah, Haywood was sent to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Adrian Dantley in 1979-80 season. He spent the 1980-81 campaign playing for Reyer Venezia in Italy.
