  • Speed Stacks are special matching cups used for sport stacking.
  • Sport Stacking History

Sport stacking, or cup stacking, originated in the 1980s in Southern California. Originally as a children's game, sport stacking became a mainstream competitive event in the 1990s after appearing on the The Tonight Show, with then host Johnny Carson. The World Sport Stacking Association was established in 2001 as a means to govern the sport. Today, there are numerous sport stacking tournaments around the world, mostly involving children but allowing all ages to compete in different age brackets.
  • Not Ordinary Cups

Speed Stacks differ from regular plastic cups as they have holes in the bottom to allow air to escape during stacking. They also have ribs around the tops of the cups to separate them slightly for easier pick up. Speed Stacks come in a variety of colors and designs with each set consisting of 12 cups.
