Basically, what the Spawn HD-720 does is give you access to your own games when you’re not in the house or near the gaming location of your choice. You can connect the “input device of your choosing”, which is an interesting move in and of itself, meaning (if I read this right) you can use your choice of controller for all your games. There’s one thing to remember, though–with this game system, you have to have your games loaded into system memory, otherwise, the only game you’ll be playing is the last thing you left in the CD tray. http://www.gadgetreview.com/2009/09/the-gamers-slingbox-from-spawn-labs-spawn-hd-720.html

The HD-720 supports multi-player, one local and one remote. It dores HD video streaming up to 720p at 30fps. The gameplay streamer works with the Xbox 360, Xbox, Playstation 3, Playstation 2, and Gamecube and can be connected to up to two game consoles at the same time.

Spawn Labs HD-720 is priced at $199.95, providing support for single remote player. If you want to have more remote players, get an extra adapter for $29.95. http://www.itechnews.net/2009/09/16/spawn-labs-hd-720-allows-remote-console-gaming/

Once you've plugged your console into the box, if the thing works like it's supposed to, you can then play your games from anywhere that has broadband access.

The really crazy part is that Spawn Labs advertises the ability to allow other people to connect to your console and play games with you while you play at home, or watch your gameplay. Just like that, couch co-op becomes online play. http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/14/spawn-labs-hd-720-enables-streaming-of-console-games/2
