Sourdough bread is a leavened bread made from cultured symbiotic and lactobacilli yeast, which gives it its sour, slightly tangy taste.
As the sourdough flavor is manufactured artificially through yeast cultures, it can be added to most leavened products. It is not uncommon to find sourdough varieties of bagels, pancakes, and even waffles.
