  • Sound Doctrine Church is a sect of Christianity based out of Washington state. The Sound Doctrine faith has come under attack in the past for having controversial beliefs compared to common branches of Christianity, sometimes compared to a cult.

    In March 2009, a North Carolina judge ordered Vanessa Mills, a follower of the Sound Doctrine Church, to send her three children to public school, despite her religious belief that her children should be home schooled. The decision was made during Mills' divorce proceedings from her husband, Thomas Mills.
