Soulfly

Soulfly is a heavy metal band fronted by ex-Sepultura singer and guitarist Max Cavalera.

Soulfly formed in 1997, a year after lead Max Cavalera left the popular thrash band Sepultura after a decade of success. Their self titled debut album was released in 1998 and sold over half a million copies. They followed that up with two more albums that sold relatively well, but did not reach the level of their first record. during the period between 2001 and 2003 all of the original members of the band departed, leaving only Cavalera. He found an entirely new lineup and by 2004 the new band had released Prophecy. The band is currently working on their sixth album, Conquer, scheduled to be released July 29, 2008.
