The 2004 comedy film Soul Plane is about a man who creates his own airline, complete with hip-hop music and on-board casinos. It is loosely based on the 1980 parody film Airplane!.
Plot
Nashawn Wade, played by Kevin Hart, is awarded a $100 million settlement from an airline after his dog was lost and he became stuck to an airplane toilet during a flight. Wade decides to use the money to start his own airline. He launches NWA, an airline tailored for more of an urban lifestyle. His first plane is purple, with spinning rims and hydraulics. It also features a very elaborate high class section, casino area in the business class section and a large night club on the upper level of the plane. Their first flight, number 069, is piloted by Captain Mack, played by Snoop Dogg. The film continues as a suburban family, with Tom Arnold portraying the father, deals with the in-flight antics, entertainment and struggles.
