Soon Yi Previn is the adopted daughter of actress Mia Farrow and her ex-husband Andrea Previn. In 1992, Soon-Yi Previn began an affair with Farrow's long-term romantic partner, Woody Allen. The relationship between Allen and the then 22-year-old Previn, whom many considered to be his stepdaughter, resulted in a public and bitter break-up between Allen and Farrow. Previn and Allen were married in 1997.
On June 19, 2009, Allen's movie Whatever Works will premier. The movie is about a professor and his relationship to a woman 40 years younger than him. This resulted in speculation as to whether the movie was based on Allen's relationship with Previn, despite the fact that Allen said that was not the case and that he wrote most of the script in the 1970s.Woody Allen On Life, Films And 'Whatever Works' (June 15, 2009)
