Sonic and the Black Knight is an upcoming action-adventure game for the Wii. The game is the second entry in the Sonic Storybook Series following Sonic and the Secret Rings.

Storyline
In Sonic and the Black Knight, Sonic will be journeying into Arthurian legend to save the mythical king, who has been possessed by an unknown evil. This evil has transformed the once peaceful king into the tyrannical Black Knight. Sonic is summoned to the world by a sorceress named Merlina in order to help free the king from his curse. Sonic's trademark speed won't be enough to save the king on its own, so Sonic must learn how to wield a sword.Wikipedia: Sonic and the Black KnightGameplay
Sonic and the Black Knight is designed to take full advantage of the Wii's motion controls in the swordplay game mechanic. Gameplay is 3D with occasional camera switches for traditional 2D gameplay most familiar to the Sonic Series of games. The sword will be controlled by swinging the Wii mote and will be used for platforming purposes in addition to combat.
