31-year-old Sonia Ringoir, from Belgium has been accused by her estranged husband Marc Poppe, of selling her twin boys for more than $13,000 to pay for cosmetic surgery. Poppe told an undercover Dutch reporter that Ringoir had sold the babies to a friend to fund the fat removal procedure known as liposuction.Liposuction: Liposuction He said that the couple had come up with the idea after they had searched the internet for ways to make money. Ringoir has 5 other children aged between 3 and 13 by two different fathers.

Charges
Because Belgium has no law against selling children, Ringoir has been charged with "degrading treatment" of the children. Ringoir has denied the allegations and says that she gave the twins away for free last March, to a friend who could not have her own babies because of a weak heart.Ringoir's new boyfriend told the press how her ex-husband has pressured her into losing weight. Eventually she had gastric band surgery to reduce her appetite, rather than lipsuction.
