Social Distortion

Social Distortion is a Punk Rock band from Southern California that is led by main songwriter and vocalist Mike Ness. Drawing from a number of different classic Punk influences, Social Distortion was one of the many bands that helped re-invigorate the Punk scene in the late 1980s and early 90s. While the band maintained a dedicated underground following, it wasn't until their 1990 self titled third album that they broke into the mainstream on the back of hits such as "Story of My Life" and "Ball and Chain." Although the band has gone through a number of lineup changes, the band continues to write, record and perform. Social Distortion has influenced many of today's punk groups, including Face to Face, Goldfinger, Good Charlotte, MxPx, The Offspring, Pennywise and Rise Against.
