  • Snickers Varieties

    Mars has unveiled a series of related Snickers products since the 1970s, some of which have been discontinued. Modern varieties include Snickers Dark, Snickers Almond and Snickers Charged, which includes added caffeine and B-vitamins, meant to increase energy. Kyle Busch and NASCAR are sponsors of the product.

    In 2008, Snickers unveiled the Adventure Bar, an Indiana Jones themed candy bar in honor of the fourth installment of the movie series, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The bar included "exotic spices" and coconut on top of the traditional ingredients.

    Former Snickers products included Snickers Hazelnut, Snickers Nut N Butter Crunch, Snickers Flapjack and Snickers Maximus in New Zealand.

  • Snickers Advertising

    2007 and 2008 Snickers advertisements have featured a crew of costumed men, preaching the slogan: "Feast!". The characters are a Viking, a Pilgrim, an Ancient Grecian, an Islander, and a Renaissance king. The Snickers website features an interactive road trip involving these characters.

    During Super Bowl XLI, a commercial featuring two mechanics who mistakenly kiss after consuming opposite ends of a Snickers bar, incited protests from the Human Rights Campaign and the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.
