A 16-foot python ate a pet terrier-Chihuahua in front of the children who owned it. The snake had been stalking the dog for days before it suffocated its prey and swallowed it whole. The snake weighed roughly 110 pounds and took 30 minutes to devour the dog. Pythons suffocate their prey before eating it, so the dog was likely dead before the python swallowed it. The snake had previously swallowed the family's guinea pig.
