Smooth Collie

There are two varieties of the collie breed: the Rough with its outer coat which is straight and harsh to the touch, and the Smooth with its short, hard, dense, flat coat. The smooth collie is an intelligent breed who likes having a job. They are able to be trained to herd, track and obey, and do search and rescue. This quality, paired with their gentle and loving temperaments, makes them ideal service dogs to attend to disabled people.
