  • Smooth Collies as Service Dogs

The smooth collie is an intelligent breed who likes having a job. They are able to be trained to herd, track and obey, and do search and rescue. This quality, paired with their gentle and loving temperaments, makes them ideal service dogs to attend to disabled people. They can be trained to be seeing eye dogs, or to be companions to people with limited mobility.Smooth Collie Association of Australia: Versatility & Temperament
