About Smashwords
smashwords.com is an online collection of books that are published in various electronic formats so that they can be read on computers, cell phones or other electronic devices such as the Kindle or the Sony Reader. Smashwords is involved with "Operation Kindle Ebook Drop," an effort to get free ebooks to US soldiers serving overseas. In September 2009, Mark Coker announced that smashwords.com had signed a deal with Barnes and Noble to deliver a number of ebooks to be sold at the Barnes and Noble website.[1]

Smashwords is a great new site where you can publish e-versions of your books. If you haven't checked it out yet, I highly recommend it. Ebooks are the wave of the future. It's important to be able to offer your readers this great option. This site makes it easy to publish in all the possible formats.
