Slovene is the official language of Slovenia. There are also Slovenian speakers scattered throughout other countries, including Croatia, Italy, the United States, Austria, Hungary, Canada, Australia, South Africa and Argentina.http://www.omniglot.com/writing/slovene.htm
Slovene uses the altered Latin alphabet called the Gaj alphabet. This version of the alphabet is used by a number of Slavic languages such as Croatian, Bosnian, and Serbian, using their own variation. The Slovene variation of the Gaj alphabet has the added letters of š, and ž. The letters q, w, x, and y have been removed for a total of 25 letters altogether.http://www.worldlingo.com/ma/enwiki/en/Slovene_alphabet http://www.worldlingo.com/ma/enwiki/en/The_Gaj_Latin_Alphabet/4
