Slither

Slither is a 2006 horror film and is the directorial debut of James Gunn. A recreation of classic B horror movies, the film is about an alien parasite that spreads throughout the small town of Wheelsy.

When Wheelsey resident Grant Grant (Michael Rooker) is infected with a worm-like alien parasite, he mutates into a grotesque monster and becomes the main host for a spreading invasion. The townspeople are quickly taken over by the alien worms, which enter their hosts through the mouth and multiply in the stomach. It's up to the town Sherrif Bill Pardy (Nathan Fillion) and a Grant's wife Starla (Elizabeth Banks) to trap and destroy Grant before the alien parasite takes over the entire Earth.
