  • Slipknot is a 9-piece hard rock band from a place Iowa, whose use of homemade masks were an attempt to obscure the identity of its members. The members are Sid Wilson, Joey Jordiso, Paul Gray, Chris Fehn, Jim Root, Craig Jones, Shawn Crahan, Mick Thomson and Corey Taylor.

The band formed in 1995, but their roots date back to 1992. However, they didn't release their debut album until 1999. Their style incorporates shouted vocals, melodic singing and rapping, all while using lyrics that are aggressive in nature.
