The Slap Chop infomercial star Vince Offer was previously featured in an infomercial for the ShamWow cleaning towel. Offer wrote and directed the 1999 comedy film The Underground Comedy Movie, which features Slash, Gena Lee Nolin, Joey Buttafuoco and Michael Clarke Duncan. A former Scientologist, Offer sued the Church of Scientology for allegedly labeling him, in Scientology terms, a "criminal" with "a criminal record."
