  • New Jersey hard rock band Skid Row hit the music scene at the very height of the MTV-fueled "hair metal" era of the late Eighties and early Nineties. Fronted by the charismatic and leather-lunged vocalist Sebastian Bach, the Skids made it very big in 1989 and 1990 with their self-titled debut album on the strength of power ballads "I Remember You" and "18 and Life." Their second album, Slave to the Grind, was the first to debut at number one on the Billboard chart during the SoundScan era.
  • Lineups

Skid Row has gone through many incarnations, but the classic lineup included lead vocalist Bach, Dave "The Snake" Sabo on rhythm guitar, Scotti Hill on lead guitar, Rachel Bolan on bass guitar, and Rob Affuso on drums. After the band split up in the late '90s, they reunited with Johnny Solinger taking over the lead vocals and Dave Gara on the drums.
