Rob Dyrdek
Rob Dyrdek is pro skater who has gained mainstream recognition as the star of a reality show on MTV called Rob and Big. The show followed Dyrdek and his bodyguard, Christopher "Big Black" Boykin, as they went about their everyday lives in Hollywood. The show lasted three seasons and 23 episodes.Prior to Rob and Big Dyrdek's career had already taken on many projects outside of skateboarding. Dyrdek entered and won his first skateboarding competition before even turning 18, but by 2005 his interests began to focus on other avenues. Concerned by a lack of quality skating areas for youths, Dyrdek designed, funded and built a skate park in his own hometown of Kettering, Ohio, where young skaters could enjoy skating legally.USA Today: Street Skaters Get A Place Of Their Own (April 15, 2004)
