Six Feet Under is an HBO original series about the lives of the Fisher family, who own and operate a funeral home.

Plot
The series Six Feet Under begins with the death of a funeral director. His wife and three children survive him. The two older sons, Nate Fisher (Peter Krause) and David Fisher (Michael C. Hall), take over their father's business. Along with their mother Ruth Fisher (Frances Conroy) and sister Claire Fisher (Lauren Ambrose) they manage their father's funeral home they handle the deaths that come. There is a new death at the beginning of each episode which sets the feel for the episode. It has a lot of dark humor.About the Show
The series ran for five seasons, from 2001 to 2005. It received great reviews from major newspapers such as The New York Times and has received nine Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and a Peabody Award.
