SingStar PS3 is a karaoke-style music-based rhythm game developed for the PlayStation 3 by SCE's London Studio and published by the console's parent company: Sony Computer Entertainment. There have been many variations of this franchise on the PlayStation 2 including the original SingStar, followed by SingStar Party, SingStar Pop, SingStar 80's, SingStar Rocks!, and SingStar Anthems. Not all of the SingStar theme packs have been released in the United States due to music licensing issues and restrictions. Licensing issues are also causing delays of SingStar PS3 in the United States. The game has been played to rave reviews in Europe and Australia, where it was released in December of 2007.

Gameplay
SingStar PS3 is one of the simplest games to understand and operate. By default, the game includes two microphones, one blue and one red. The player selects a song from the selection screen to sing. The game allows up to two people to sing and breaks the song into a duet to accommodate this. You can either do co-operative play or a duet. You are judged by how well you follow the song's pitch. Unlike Rock Band's singing portion where pitch is all that is judged, SingStar PS3 judges how well the lyrics are followed.Songs
Initial song selection will include approximately 35 songs. An additional 67 songs are estimated to be available via the PlayStation Network's online store for individual purchase, in the same way that songs are purchased for Rock Band and Guitar Hero.Track List
