Singapore Airlines is the national airline of Singapore. In 2007, the airline became the first airline to fly the A380, the world's largest aircraft. Singapore Airlines also flies the two longest continuous routes in the world, on its Newark and Los Angeles non-stops. The distinctive icon of the airline since 1968 are the stewardesses, referred to as "Singapore Girls", who wear colorful Malay sarongs.
