Sin City Comic is a series of graphic novels comic books written and drawn by Frank Miller. There are 13 stories to this series, the 13 separate stories are also known as "yarns". .Frank Miller has written many other loved and well known comics. All stories take place in Basin City, with a-lot of the same characters visiting each and all of the stories feeding in to each other.

• Marv Sin City: Large violent street thug with superhuman strength who suffers from occasional memory loss. Was played by Mickey Rourke on screen.
• Detective John Hartigan: Ex-cop who was framed for the kidnapping of Nancy Callahan. Played by Bruce Willis in the film version.
• Dwight McCarthy: Dangerous photographer who recently was given a new identity thanks to plastic surgery. Portrayed by Clive Owen
• Wallace Sin City: Former Navy Seal and vigilante.
• Nancy Callahan: Stripper and victim of the kidnapping Detective Hartigan was framed for. Played by Jessica Alba in the film version.

• Kevin Sin City: Cannibal and sociopath who preys on innocent women.
• Roark Junior: Child molester who kidnappend Nancy Callahan and was stopped by John Hartigan. Intent on getting revenge on the both of them. Played by Nick Stahl on screen.
• Detective Jack Rafferty: Crooked cop and ex-boyfriend to Shellie. Portrayed in the film by Benicio Del Toro.
