WINNER BAFTA 2009: Interview with Simon Beaufoy
Simon Beaufoy is interviewed after he receives his BAFTA award for Slumdog Millionaire. He states that British audiences are the hardest to please if you're a British filmmaker. He also noted that creating a "narrative train" for the movie was difficult because the book is a series of short stories that don't necessary flow together with one another. He says that a love story was the way to provide the narrative arc that was needed.
