Silent Hill 3

Silent Hill 3 is a 2003 survival-horror game for the PS2 and PC developed by KCET and Team Silent and published by Konami. It is the third chapter in the Silent Hill series, and unlike the previous entries features a female protagonist, a blond woman named Heather.

After several strange visions and the tragic death of her father, Heather travels to Silent Hill with Detective Douglas Cartland in search of a woman named Claudia. A crazed member of a cult in Silent Hill, Claudia murdered Heather's father, to fill Heather's heart with anger for some unknown purpose. On the way to Silent Hill while Heather reads a memo from her dead father, it is revealed that her father is Harry Mason, the protagonist from the first Silent Hill game. Heather's real name is "Cheryl Mason," the lost little girl Harry searches for in the first game. Heather then must search for Claudia, get her revenge and discover the true nature of her own past with the town's cult.

Silent Hill 3 has three different possible ending scenarios, each dependent upon the actions you take during the game.

1. Normal: The only ending possible on the first playthrough. The game ends with Heather ("Cheryl") alive in an amusement park.
2. Possessed: After collecting 4,000 points in the second playthrough of the game, by the end Heather is possessed by the cult god, and killing Douglas.
3. Revenge: You must first unlock the "Heather Beam" weapon, and kill 30 monsters with it. In this scenario the game ends with Harry, Heather's father, taking a fleet of UFOs to Silent Hill and destroying it.
